Joan Ellen Adam, 80, of Delphos passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Vancrest Healthcare Center.   She was born on May 5, 1943, to Maurice Gene and Dorothy (Bowsher) Miller. Both preceded her in death.  In 1966 she was united in marriage to Brent B. Adam who survives in Delphos.

She is also survived by two sons, Gregory (Gina) Adam of Convoy and Bradley (Brenda) Adam of Elida; two brothers, Maurice (Sandy) Miller of Delphos, and Paul (Cindy) Miller of Delphos; five grandchildren, Taylor Martinez, Vincent Adam, Quinton Adam, Ashley (Charles) Rountree ,and  Jay (Hannah) Geise; and great-grandchild, Charlie Rountree. 

Joan was a member of Delphos Christian Union Church.  She was also a member of the Democratic Women’s Club where she helped with elections, and the Elida Young Farm Wives.  She also volunteered with the Allen County Jr. Fair Board.  Camping and going to the dirt track races at Eldora Speedway and Lima Land were among her favorite things to do.  She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball fan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
