Joe D. Reynolds

Joe D. Reynolds, 88, of Delphos passed away at his residence on January 15, 2025.  He was born March 15, 1936, in Spencerville, to Orville and Mable (Lauth) Reynolds.  They both preceded him in death. On September 24, 1955, he married Evelyn Barnes, who preceded him in death on October 17, 2019. 

Joe is survived by his sons, Austin Reynolds of Spencerville,  Dave (Jewel), Reynolds of Ft. Jennings,  Jim (Tina) Reynolds, of Van Wert, Larry (Laura) Reynolds, of Delphos;  grandchildren, Jeremy Reynolds, Angie Reynolds, Ashley (Randy) Arrizola, Jill Reynolds, Natalie (Kyle) Reynolds-Owens, Jimmy Reynolds, Joe (Katie) Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Tara (Brandon) McCauley, Brittney (Kyle Welsh) Reynolds, Chad (Ashley) Reynolds, Ryan (Amy) Reynolds; 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brother, Roger Reynolds of Delphos; sister-in-law, Carol Reynolds of Delphos, and by many nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Debbie Pauline Reynolds; sons, Dan and Greg; brothers, Jack, Kenny, Rex, Nelson, Nick, and sister-in-law, Frannie Reynolds.

Joe graduated from Spencerville High School in 1954.  He worked for over 60 years at Brenntag. Joe was involved in sales of industrial and food grade chemicals. He was a member of Spencerville Nazarene church. Joe was an avid fisherman. He made his own fishing lures and used them all around the area fishing spots. Joe also loved to fish Lake Erie where he enjoyed catching walleye. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery in Spencerville. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
