John C. Myers, 83, of Delphos, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on October 6, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s. John was born on May 19, 1938, in Delphos to Russell Boyd and Avanelle (Briggs) Myers. They preceded him in death. On January 30, 1965, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Gasser. She survives in Delphos.
John is also survived by his son, Mark (Mary) Myers of Ft. Jennings; daughter, Amy (Tony) Baldauf of Delphos; seven grandsons, Owen, Brandt, Conner, and Drew Baldauf, Matthew (Chelsea) McGough, Michael McGough, and Joey (Mandi) Sakosics; five great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Faye) Myers of Pandora; a sister, Ann Young of Delphos; brother-in-law Richard J. Gasser of Antwerp; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Okie) Fitch of Defiance, and Arlene Hootman of Evansport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nadine (Don) Shrider; brothers-in-law, Jack Young, Paul Gasser, and Allen Hootman, sister-in-law, Euletta VonSossan, and grandson, Mitchell McGough.
John attended Delphos Jefferson and worked at various factory jobs. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles Aerie #471. John enjoyed watching football and watching his friends play cards at the Eagles. More than anything he cherished his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos. Pastor Steve Haddix will officiate.
