Karen K. Cooper, 65, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s. She was born January 29, 1958, in Lima to Richard and Barbara E. (Jones) Kimmel. Both preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Theodore A. Hosking R. on September 3, 1976. He passed away on September 13, 2007. She then married Gary Cooper who survives in Delphos.
Karen is survived by her children, Jessica Sparks of Stevensville, TX., Adam Hosking of Van Wert, and Chad (Melissa) Hosking of Delphos; stepchildren, Amanda (Derrick) Coil of Delphos, and Jessica (Chris) Lawson of Elida; grandchildren, Matthew Hosking-Casagranda, Jasmine, Laurel and Annabelle Drop, Chase, Colin, and Cody Bailey, and Jada, Tessa, and Theo Hosking; step grandchildren, Spencer Wannemacher, Chandler, and Kira Coil, and Ethan, Hunter and Emma Lawson; siblings, Marsha (Deno) Parlapiano of Lima, Cheryl (Philip “Sonny”) Steele of Devon MA, Laura Redmond of Lima, Rick (Susan) Kimmel of Delphos and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Theodore Hosking, a daughter Victoria Hosking, and son-in-Law, David Sparks.
Karen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to listen to music, especially 70’s and country. Reading was a favorite pastime listening to audio books after she lost her sight. More than anything she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed following their sporting events.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. that same day.
