Larry R. Brown, 70, of Delphos passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born May 25, 1948, in New Port, AK. to Roy and Margaret (Pratt) Brown, both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Sharon L. Heffner; she preceded him in death on June 30, 1996.
He is survived by two sons, Larry W. Brown of Cloverdale and Donald A. Brown of Loraine; three daughters, Laura M. Johnson of Texas and Dianna Doyle of Grover Hill, Kathy (Kelley) Anspach of Ada; a brother, Jeff Brown of Delphos; two sisters, Marilyn Goodenough of Elida and Jean Maas of Delphos; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and his companion of seventeen years, Brenda Thitoff.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Brown and a sister, Janet Illig.
He was a member of the Eagles #471, VFW #3035, and had served in the Marines, during Vietnam.. He worked for R & T Trucking of Gomer, hauling livestock for 36 years. Larry enjoyed fishing and truly loved spending time with all people, especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and his church family at the Delphos First Assembly of God Church.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11:00 am at First Assembly of God Church with visitation one hour prior at the church. Pastor Fred Rowe will officiate. Military Grave Rites to follow. Burial will be at a later date.
