Lillie Mae “Tiny” Fischbach, of Delphos, passed away on September 15, 2019, at the Meadows in Delphos.
She was born on November 8, 1928, in Little Rock, AR, to Ernest and Lillie Bell (Yant) Caldwell. On February 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Donald J. Fischbach. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1993.
She is survived by 4 sons, Randy (Carol) Fischbach of Delphos, Gary Fischbach of Delphos, Keith (Carolyn) Fischbach of Delphos and Dennis Fischbach of Columbus; 8 grandchildren, Paige(Michael), Morgan (Kyle), April (Robin), Chad (Erin), Megan (Ian), Cole (Nicole), Sydney and Blake and 6 great grandchildren, Isabella, Owen, Emerson, Mosaik, Roman and Chase. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Henderson, James, Edward and Jack Caldwell, and her sisters, Dorothy Boyles, Johnnie Pieckal and Thelma Watts.
Tiny was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a cook at Van Wert County Hospital for over 20 years and was a cook at A and W. She was a junior bowling instructor for many years and was inducted into the Delphos Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loyal fan for her grandchildren’s events. Her cooking will be missed by many and her recipes will be cherished by her family for generations.
Her funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Landeck. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Delphos. Friends may call from 2-8 pm. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, with a parish wake at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos St. John’s or Delphos Jefferson Boosters.
