Louis “Louie” W. Hotz, 83, of Kendallville, IN, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Parkview Hospital Randallia. He was born March 2, 1939, at home in Landeck, OH, to Aloysius F. and Luella C. (Bonifas) Hotz. They both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Martha C. (Kill) Hotz. She survives in Kendallville, IN.
Louis is survived by daughters, Jackie (Chris) Strabala of Auburn, IN, and Sandy (Chris) Vorst of Middle Point; grandchildren, Lexi and Kelly Strabala, and Katie, Tara, and Betty Vorst; and brother, Clarence Hotz of Hastings, NE.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Darlene Hotz.
Louis worked at B.F. Goodrich for over 30 years. He owned two restaurants, Lou-Mar’s, located in Paulding and Payne, OH. Louis was also a cook in the Army from 1958 to 1961. He enjoyed camping and trying his luck at the casinos.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Landeck, OH. The Delphos Veterans Council will perform military grave rites. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, OH.
