Marilyn H. Otte peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Delphos.
She was born May 6, 1933, to Burgan C. and Marie (Sauber) Wilson. They both preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gerard Otte Jr.; he preceded her in death on March 15, 2010.
Marilyn “Tootie” is survived by three brothers, Robert J. Wilson of South Bend, IN, Eugene B. (Mary) Wilson of Dayton, OH, and Michael E. (Joyce) Wilson of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law, Frank Campanile of Beavercreek, OH; sister-in-law, Judy Wilson of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Joan Wilson, Colleen Wilson Millit, Katherine L. Campanile, Maxine M. Linig, and Margaret Wilson; and a brother, Frank “Nick” Wilson.
Marilyn was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a member of St. John’s graduating class of 1952. She was the clerk for the City of Delphos for 25 years. Marilyn’s favorite pastimes were reading and traveling with Junior and their canine companions “Cricet” and “Bandit”. She is remembered by her nieces and nephews as a very generous aunt.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ottoville. Friends may call on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Parish Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to the charity of donor’s choice.
