Mary F. Combs, 65, of Van Wert, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Kindred Hospital. She was born March 24, 1959, in Lima, OH, to Stewart and Queenie (May) Adams. They both preceded her in death. Mary was united in marriage to Michael Combs on December 5, 2007. He survives in Van Wert.

Mary is also survived by three sons, Michael (Chrissy) Adams of Bradford, OH, David (Mandy) Schlatman of Van Wert, and Timothy Schlatman of Van Wert; brother, Sonny (Kim) Adams of Middle Point; sister, Rita (Fred) Feathers of Willshire; ex-husband, David Schlatman; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by sister, Betty Lindeman; brother, Everett Cavanaugh; brothers-in-law, Virgil and Chuck Schlatman; and grandson, Andrew Austin Adams.

Mary worked as an aide at Vancrest of Van Wert. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, gambling, and camping at the Four Seasons. Mary was the glue that kept the family together.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
