Mary Jane (Bowersock) Conrad

Mary Jane Conrad, 102, died at 8:49 a.m. on June 16, 2021 at Atrium Health in Loncolnton, North Carolina.  She was a former resident of the Rimer, Ohio area.

She was born south of Spencerville in Auglaize County on December 12, 1918, the ninth of 13 children to Grover and Viola (McMillen) Bowersock, who both preceded her in death. On September 11, 1941, she married Howard Lawrence Conrad; he preceded her in death on October 13, 1999.

Mary was a farmer’s wife. She was a member of Ottawa River Church of God and also an auxiliary member of American legion post 715, Fort Jennings.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Luana Anderson of Lima, Nancy Conrad and Cathy (Errol) Eley both of Denver, North Carolina, one grandson, Brandon (Mandy) Eley of Columbus, and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, a son in law, Robert Anderson, six sisters and six brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, 209 W. Third St., Delphos. Pastor Tom Craig will officiate. A private burial will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
