Mary F (Riley) Martin

Mary Martin, 89, of Delphos, passed away at Vancrest on Thursday, June 27, 2024.  She was born December 6, 1934, in Elida, OH, to Isaac and Ida (Laman) Riley.  They both preceded her in death. Mary was married to Joseph Martin on August 18, 1951. He  preceded her in death on March 29, 2008.

Mary is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Martin; daughters, Sharon (Bill) Smith , Debra Crider and son-in-law Bob Eickholt; all of Delphos; six grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Jamie, Jesse, Lacy, and Jordan; and  great grandchildren, Sadie, Samantha, Shelby, Kobe, Kaden, Kayla, Kylee, Emma, Tyler, Beau, Kailyn, Mason, Lane, Liam, Finn, Falynn, and Saylor.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Eickholt; brothers, William, Glen, Trimper, James, and Lee Riley; and sisters, Ida Mae Vermillion and Ramona Holmes and grandchildren, Shelly Smith, Billy Smith and Jason Martin; great-grandson, Chase Miller; and son-in-law, Bob Crider.

Mary attended Elida High School. She was a member of the Pentecostal Harvest Church in Scott, OH and had a great love for the Lord.  Mary enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the birds. She loved her big family and gatherings at her home for the holidays. Mary was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 2 pm at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.  Pastor Terry Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
