Michael James Metzger, 70, of Delphos, passed away on January 29, 2024, at Lima Memorial Hospital.  He was born on June 11, 1953, to Aloysius and Catherine (Gasser) Metzger. Both preceded him in death. 

He is survived by a sister, Mary Ann (Dan) Sherrick of Elida; and nieces and nephews, Todd (Melissa) Sherrick, Joshua (Kim) Sherrick, and Stephanie (Joe) Brinkman all of Elida.

Michael was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  He loved to eat and have a cup of coffee in hand while looking at pictures and listening to the radio.  People watching and bowling were also two things he loved to do.    

Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.
