Michael Parsons

Michael Parsons, 84, of Delphos, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his residence. He was born on July 4, 1940, in Delphos, OH, to Melvin and Doris (Lucas) Parsons. They both preceded him in death. On April 1, 1967, he was united in marriage to Judy Closson. She survives in Delphos.

Michael is also survived by sons, Mike (Monica) Parsons and Mitchell (Stephanie) Parsons both of Delphos, and Kenny (Tracy) Parsons of Venedocia; daughter, Cristine (Larry) Boop of Delphos; brother, Melvin Jr. Parsons of Spencerville; sister-in-law, Cathy Parsons of SC; sister, Janet (Richard) Fielder of Delphos; sister-in-law, Shirley Parsons; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Michael was preceded in death by brother, Milton, Robert, Herbie, and William Parsons; sister, Mary Downey; and sister-in-law, Loretta Parsons.

Michael was a welder for the railroad. He attended Delphos Wesleyan Church. Michael enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting, especially deer, and hunting for arrowheads.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday prior to service at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
