Patty J. Gibson

Patty J. Gibson, 77, of Delphos, passed away December 20, 2020, at her residence.  She was born on July 8, 1943, in Bald KY in the Yellow Mountain Region to Imajean (Stewart) and Fred Gibson; both preceded her in death. 

She is survived by one son, Gary Cooper of Delphos; one daughter, Grace Diltz of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by three sons, Tommy Cooper, Barry Cooper, Richard Diltz, Jr.; one daughter, Tammy Cooper, eight siblings, Jimmie, Grover, Amos, Frankie, Billie and Willie Gibson; one sister, Dorothy Vogan, an infant sister; and one grandson.

Patty was a member of Delphos Wesleyan Church.  Many people knew Patty as she was a business owner in Delphos owning many different places throughout the years including Dick and Pat’s, Harold’s Bar, The Century Club, Double D’s, and Dick’s Steakhouse.  She loved buying businesses, flipping houses, and working with flowers. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
