Rebecca J. Wulfhorst

Rebecca “Becky” J. Wulfhorst, 67, of Delphos, passed away from complications of Covid at 4:43 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s. She was born April 21, 1953, in Lima, OH, to Harvey and LaDonna (Allen) Barnes. They preceded her in death. On September 24, 1971, she was united in marriage to Thomas Wulfhorst. He survives in Delphos, OH.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Michael Wulfhorst of Delphos and Angie (Jamie) Leeseberg of Gahanna, OH; two grandchildren, Emily and Matthew; four sisters, Christy Hammond, Sherri Hohwald, Alice Curth all of Delphos and Robin Geise of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harvey Barnes, Jr.

Rebecca was very dedicated to her job as a caregiver, always giving 150% of herself to those she cared for. She worked at Vancrest Assisted Living for over 30 years and also provided Home Health Care. Rebecca will always be remembered for always putting other people first above her own needs. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, OH. A rosary will be prayed in the church 1/2 hr prior to the funeral Mass. Everyone is welcomed to join in praying the rosary in assisting the soul of our loved one in their journey to attaining eternal life and peace. Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021, with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m., at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, OH.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses of 3A and 5K who provided remarkable care and went above and beyond. They would also like say thank you for all of the loving support that they have received from the kindness of strangers.
