Richard "Rick" Wannemacher

Richard “Rick” E. Wannemacher, 68, of Delphos, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at The Meadows of Delphos. One of eleven children, he was born on June 17, 1954, in Lima, to Ambrose and Coletta (Gremling) Wannemacher. They preceded him in death.

Rick is survived by his children, Kyle (Tammy) Wannemacher of Warrenton, VA, Sarah (Levi) Sellers of Delphos, Ashley Wannemacher of Nashville, TN, and Amy (Lee) Goulding of Bury St. Edmunds, UK; grandchildren, Lucas, Elisa, Emma, and Landon Wannemacher, Tristan (Kiely) Wannemacher, and Jakob Treadway; four brothers, Dennis (Pat) Wannemacher of Troy, OH, Mark Wannemacher, Greg (Donna) Wannemacher both of Lima, Chuck (Tina) Wannemacher of Delphos; and four sisters, Ellen (Jeff “Buzz”) Ditto of Landeck, Karen Shumaker of Cridersville, Maggie Wannemacher, and Beth (Joe) Wallenhorst both of Delphos.

Rick was also preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and David Wannemacher.

Rick was a self-employed contractor for Re-New Construction, doing carpentry work for over 30 years. He also worked at State Farm and as a service manager at Double-A Trailer. He was a voluntary fireman for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, spending time with his grandchildren, and teaching his children how to be a handyman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral service.
