Robert "Bob" Trentman

Robert H. Trentman, 68, of Delphos passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Vancrest of Delphos .  He was born on December 17, 1954, to Gilbert and Florence (Hasenkamp) Trentman who both preceded him in death.  On July 10, 1976, he was united in marriage to Deborah Koenig.  She survives in Delphos. 

Bob is also survived by three sons, Ryan (Melissa) Trentman, Aaron (Jennifer) Trentman, and Alan (Lauren) Trentman all of Delphos;  seven grandsons, Kaiden, Garrett, Jacob, Caleb, Roy, Ross, and Pete Trentman; mother-in-law, Norma Koenig; sisters, Mary Lee (Robert) Miller, Irene (Norb) Renner; brother, Jerome (Janet) Trentman; brothers-in law Tom Pohlman, and Lynn (Yvonne) Koenig.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ted Koenig;  sisters, Margaret Baldauf, Patricia Lindeman, and Judy Pohlman; and brothers-in-law, Jim Baldauf, Norbert Lindeman and John Wannemacher.

Bob was a 1973 graduate of Delphos St. John.  He was previously employed at New Delphos Manufacturing and retired from Commercial/Premier Bank after 32 years of service. At the bank he was affectionately known as “Doc.”  He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. 

He especially enjoyed snowmobiling with his friends and tinkering in his shop.  He also enjoyed farming and gardening, spending time with his family and attending his grandkids sporting events.  You could often find him on his side by side or outside with his dog, Tinker.  Anyone who knew Bob will never forget his ornery smile. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Delphos.  Pastor Carol Pretorius will preside.  Visitation will be on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 2:00-8:00 pm at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.
