Roetta Mae Good was born on September 9, 1938, in Allen County, OH, to Noah Edward and Clara Anna (Howard) Good. She peacefully passed away on January 8, 2023, at the Liberty Retirement Home, Lima, OH, at the age of 84 years.
Roetta’s parents preceded her in death along with her brother, Earl Edwin Good; a sister, Thelma who died at the age of 12 years, and her sister, Julia Cook; her niece, Marcella Humphreys; and nephew, Earl Dean Good.
Roetta is survived by a sister, Louanna Bailey of Jacksonville, FL; eleven nieces and nephews, Georgeana (Stan) Strayer, Marcia Frankhouse, Glenna Dray, Dorene Cardozo, Emerson Brown, Carl (Debra) Good, Edward Good, William (Joella) Good, Fayeann Race, Nancy Nicely, and Rebecca Janes.
She was a member of the Sharon Mennonite Church of Elida. Roetta was loved by her 13 nephews and nieces and was often a “babysitter” to them as they were growing up. She enjoyed playing with them in their games and helping with school homework. She grew up sewing most of their clothes and enjoyed sewing as a hobby. Later in life, she enjoyed reading the Budget Newspaper and corresponding in letters to friends and relatives.
Roetta graduated from Elida High School, Class of 1956.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Harter & Schier Funeral Home located at 209 W. 3rd St., Delphos, OH. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sharon Mennonite Cemetery, 3170 Cremean Rd., Elida, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Mennonite Church.
