Ronald C. Moreo

Ronald C. Moreo, 87, of Delphos, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born May 18, 1935, at home in Delphos, to Charles and Fern (Ralston) Moreo. They both preceded him in death. On December 2, 1955, he was united in marriage to Janett (Diltz) Moreo. She survives in Delphos.

Ronald is survived by sons, Freddie “Fred” Lee (Lisa) of Delphos, Andrew “Andy” Charles (Teresa) of Grover Hill, Barney “Chip” Wayne (Donna) of Spencerville, and Daniel “Shane” Shane of Delphos; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and sister, Wanda Sue Matson of Delphos.

Ronald was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim (Ruth) Moreo and John (Dee) Moreo, and brother-in-law, Dale Matson.

Ronald worked for Moreo Roof & Siding for over 50 years with his father. He was a woodworker who made lots of cabinets for people around town. He was a handyman keeping him busy after retirement. Ronald loved dancing with his wife, Janett. He was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. Ronald was President of the Delphos Bass Club, a member of the Delphos Coon and Sportsman Club, and a lifetime member of the Delphos Eagles Aerie #471. Ronald also served in the National Guard from 1956-1958.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate. Burial will follow in Hartford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to take the day off to go fishing in honor of Ronald.
