Ronald R. Warnecke, 77, of Elida, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville. He was born February 25, 1947, to Carl and Norma (Reindel) Warnecke. They preceded him in death. Ron was married to Phyllis Post. She preceded him in death.
Ron is survived by his son, Kevin (Kim) Warnecke; daughters, Lisa (Gregg) Kiel, and Dawn (Mark) Beamer all of Elida; grandchildren; Erika (Andrew) Knapke, Kylee (Cody) Fleming, and Garrett Beamer; one great grandchild, Isaiah Knapke; a sister, Lois (Steve) Hemker; brothers, Bob (Marie) Warnecke and Larry (Mary Ann) Warnecke; and sisters-in-laws, Pat Warnecke and Alice Warnecke; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by brothers, Jim, Wayne, and Kenny Warnecke.
Ron graduated from Spencerville High School; Class of 1965. He retired from Bunge after 40 years of service in maintenance. Ron was a member of St. Johns Evangelist Catholic Church and a member of the Wapakoneta Eagles. He enjoyed gardening, farming, riding his bike in the neighborhood, visiting with friends, and a good game of cards with friends and family. Ron loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching them play sports, and being a great-grandfather to Isaiah.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at St. Johns Church in Delphos. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, with a wake service at 7:30 pm at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund at Roselawn Manor or the American Heart Association.
