Ronald “Bill” Culp, 85, of Delphos, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on June 6, 2020, at Vancrest of Delphos. He was born October 10, 1934 to Lloyd and Marciele (Moreo) Culp who preceded him in death. On August 20, 1960, he was united in marriage to LaDonna DeWitt who survives in Delphos. They would have been married 60 years this year in August.
He is survived by three sons, Bob (Linda), Ron (Laurie), and Jim Culp, all of Delphos; two daughters, Linda (Mark) Miller and Sandy (Chris) Kortokrax, all of Delphos; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jeannette Roehm, and two brothers, Dick and Gene Culp.
Bill retired from Ford after 43 years of service. He was also an Army veteran serving in Germany for two years during the Korean War. He even had the chance to drink coffee with Elvis who he said was a GI just like him. Bill had a love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and passed that love onto his children, as well as, fishing and mushroom hunting. He raised rabbits for many years. He had pet raccoons and would take them with him around town. He was a masterful gardener and had some of the most beautiful gardens year after year. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taught them many things over the years.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Rakay will be officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Military grave rites will be performed by the Delphos Veteran’s Council. Friends and family may call Tuesday, June 9, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home
