Scott E. Siefker, 42, of Riverside, formerly of Delphos, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at his residence. He was born September 4, 1980, in Lima, OH, to Joseph E. and Kathleen D (Grothaus) Siefker. They both survive in Elida.
Scott is also survived by his aunt, Valeria Ann Orosz. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Scott was a graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Gannon University. Scott worked in IT for 20 years until he made the move to cyber security. He started out as a support Level 2 analyst at IRS Global Test Center, then as a customer service tech and a member of the B5 team at Rex Consulting, and as a computer customer service tech at Rylex Consulting at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Most recently, Scott had worked in cyber security for Allied Universal since February 2020. He enjoyed playing games and researching on the computer. Scott was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, and from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. There will be a Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
