Shirley Jarman

Shirley Jarman, 77, of Delphos, passed away on Saturday, April 09, 2022, surrounded by family at her home. She was born September 26, 1944, in Scott, Ohio to John and Wanda (Miller) Hundley. They preceded her in death. On March 30, 1968, she was united in marriage to Leonard E. Jarman.  He survives in Delphos.

Shirley is survived by a son, Roy Jarman of Delphos; a daughter, Priscilla (Mark) Carter of Harrod; six grandchildren, Christian, Carter, Caleb Jarman, and Kory, Kacy, and Kylee Carter; and three great-grandchildren.

Shirley retired from the Delphos Senior Citizens’ Center where she was an activities director for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Delphos Eagles Auxiliary.  She also helped others using her knowledge and passion for doing taxes.  She gave back to her community by doing this for free for over 30 years helping many families.  She loved crafting and being a homemaker.  Her cats were very important to her.  Shirley loved all animals.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters.

A Graveside Service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jim Hernandez will officiate. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos Senior Citizens’ Center or Allen County Humane Society.
