Shirley J. Rex

Shirley J. Rex, 70, of Lima, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born June 10, 1954, in Lima, OH, to Robert M. and Juanita F. (Tigner) Rex. They both preceded her in death.

Shirley is survived by brothers, Jack (Carolyn) Rex of Lafayette, Dennis Rex of Laurinburg, NC, and George (Debra) Rex; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by twin sister, Sharon Rex; sister, Linda Pauline Rex; brothers, Ronald “Butch” Rex, Robert E. Rex, and Paul Arthur Rex; and sister-in-law, Helen Rex.

Shirley worked at Ford Cafeteria right after graduation for eight years. She then went on to work as a housekeeper at the Days Inn for over 18 years. Shirley was a past member of the Delphos Eagles #471 and past member of the Lima Eagles. She attended Allentown Church.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
