Shirley Ann Siefker, 88, passed away the evening of January 23, 2025 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Shirley was born on July 11, 1936 in Middle Point, Ohio to the late Floyd Noah and Ruth Oleta Mae (Pollock) Mihm. She resided in Middle Point until August 25, 1955 when she married Donald A Siefker and settled into their home outside of Delphos. They were married nearly 58 years when Don passed away in 2014.
Shirley worked at Holtzapple Corp in Elida for many years, as well as I & K Distributors in Delphos, and Service Master in Lima, but the job that she held most dear to her heart was that of loving Mother.
She is survived by her five sons, Steven L (Rita) Siefker, of Cairo , Paul A (Tammy) Siefker, of Ft Jennings, Mark (Robin) Siefker, of Findlay, John Siefker, of Gomer, Timothy (Dorothea) Siefker, of Delphos, one daughter, Lisa Thompson, of Pace, Florida, as well as 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren and counting. She is also survived by a sister, Janet (Jess) Sherry, of Continental, two brothers, Joseph Mihm, of Van Wert, Thomas (Tricia) Mihm of Mishawaka, IN, a brother-in-law, Joseph E (Kathleen) Siefker, of Elida, a sister-in-law, Ann Orosz, of Columbus, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was also preceded in death by a brother, James L Mihm, and a daughter-in-law, Frances J (Hawk) Siefker.
Shirley and her husband Don loved to travel with their family, and every summer they'd set off on a new adventure. By the time their children were grown and they were no longer able to travel, they had visited 49 states, Mexico, multiple locations in Canada, as well as Germany and the United Kingdom.
Shirley liked to crochet, tend her garden, and designed many hand stitched quilts throughout the years. Her and Don both enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music.
Shirley was a faithful member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, and attended mass weekly for over 70 years.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be beside her husband in St John's Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
