Steve Coil

Steve Coil, 66, of Delphos, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at The James Cancer Institute. He was born May 22, 1957, in Lima, to Alvin Laverne and Helen Jeanette (Stocklin) Coil. They both preceded him in death. In 1977, he was united in marriage to Linda Grone. She survives in Delphos.

Steve is also survived by children, Philip (Meghan) Coil, Matthew (Sarah) Coil, and Shannon (Aaron) Parkins all of Delphos; grandchildren, Camden Coil, Olivia Coil, Austin Coil, Brynn Coil, Brady Coil, and Crew Parkins; brothers, Mike (Barb) Coil and Duane “Arnie” Coil both of Delphos; sisters, Peg (Butch) Schabbing of Grover Hill and Vicky (Sheila) Coil of Delphos; and father and mother-in-law, Irvin and Mary (Baldauf) Grone of Delphos.

Steve was also preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Terri Coil and Marcia Grone.

Steve was an independent truck driver for 40+ years. He was a member of the NRA and Eagles Aerie #471. He enjoyed firearms, the outdoors, and going camping. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.  Pastor Steve Haddix will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.
