Ted Anthony Kill, 64, of Delphos, passed away at 8:51 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s. Ted was born October 23, 1956, in Lima, OH, to William and Mary (Wrocklage) Kill. They both preceded him in death. On August 23, 1980, he was united in marriage to Kim (Lambert) Kill. They would have celebrated their 41st anniversary this year. She survives in Delphos.
Ted is survived by his children, Andrew (Ashley) Kill and Lyndsi (Patrick) Gesing both of Avon Lake, OH; grandchildren, Kinley Kill, Kasen Kill, Ellie Gesing, and Wesley Gesing; brother, Gerry (Peggy) Kill of Powell, OH; sister, Regina (Eric) Fritz of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tim Kill; and his nephew, Ryan Colwell.
Ted was a graduate of St. John Catholic School, Class of 1974. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Ted was a car salesman at Tom Ahl for over 40 years. Ted’s favorite days were spent in Cleveland enjoying his kids and grandkids. His hobbies included golfing, bowling, and walking his beloved dog, Sophie. In his later years, he found out he had a talent for oil painting. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Anyone who knew Ted knew his quirky sense of humor. He had that ornery twinkle in his eyes.
Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
