Terry L. Welker

Terry L. Welker, 69, of Delphos, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1953, in Lima, OH, to Gerald and Rosemary (Page) Welker. They both preceded him in death. On May 18, 1974, he was united in marriage to Deborah Fiedler. She survives in Delphos.

Terry is also survived by sons, Jonathon Welker of FL, Kevin (Dawn) Welker, and Kegan Welker both of Lima; daughter, Stacey (Lemarr) Petty of Lima; grandchildren, Hannah, Brady, Gage, Dustin, Tyler, Anthony, Alijah, Aiden, and Jameson; a brother, Gerald (Lori) Welker, and four nieces, Trisha, Carri, Emma, and Lizzie.

Terry was preceded in death by a brother, David Welker.

Terry was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic, Class of 1972. He retired from Allen Oakwood Correctional Institute as a correction officer. Terry was a “pool shark” in his younger days. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play basketball and football. He would attend concerts in the park. Terry was in the Southern Breeze band where he played guitar and sang.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
