Thomas W. Stanton, Sr.

Thomas W. Stanton, 47, of Delphos, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born in Lima, OH on October 24, 1977, to Robert Lewis Stanton Jr. and Pamela (Butler) Stanton. His mother preceded him in death. His father survives in Fort Wayne.

Thomas is also survived by his wife of 23 years, Melanie (Martin) Stanton; their three children, Thomas Wayne Stanton, Jr., Leanne Rose Stanton, and Samantha June Stanton; a brother, Jimmy (Theresa) Stanton of Fort Wayne; and sister, Lori (Nate) Haire of Fort Wayne.

Thomas was a 1996 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. He was employed at Grammer, formerly Toledo Molding and Die. Previously, Thomas had worked at Lakeview for 18 years. He was an avid card collector often trading them online. Thomas’ loved spending time with his family and his cats, Sadie and Bo Bo. He was a Little League baseball coach. Thomas enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Thomas’ kid’s education.
