William (Bill) Lloyd Guthrie passed away March 26th, at the age of 87. 

He was born in June 1936, in Delphos, Ohio, to Lloyd and Evelyn (Baker) Guthrie, who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Donna (Kasey) Reinemeyer in February 1962. She preceded him in death in April 1989. In May 1993, he married Kathy (Hittle) Copus, who survives.

Bill is survived by his children, Linda Guthrie of Delphos, Nancy (Ed) Metzger of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Karen (Mark) Bockey of Delphos, Gary Guthrie of Powell, Ohio, Laurie (Mike) Zugay of Manhattan Beach, California, and Matt (Tina Wilson) Copus of Huber Heights, Ohio. He is survived by fourteen grandchildren - Renee Guthrie, Megan (Kyle) McDonald, Laura Klausing, Nicholas (Abby), Shannon, and Adam Bockey, Kasey, Kori, and Katie Metzger, Veronica and Andrew Guthrie, RubyAnne and Loraleigh Copus, and Caroline Zugay. He has two great-grandchildren, Jane and Alan Burritt, and a great-granddaughter arriving in June. Bill is also survived by his sister, Marthanne (Mike) Lehmann.

Bill was a 1955 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. He served in the Ohio National Guard Reserves and was a ticket taker for Jefferson basketball and football for many years. He retired from Vanamatic Company after 57 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th from 4-7 pm at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 6th, with calling hours one hour prior. Burial will follow in St. Johns’s Cemetery.
