Wilma McBride

Wilma E. McBride, 81, of Delphos, passed away on January 10, 2022, at her home.  She was born February 26, 1940, to Oris and Ruby (Zeller) Druckemiller. They both preceded her in death. On June 18, 1960, she was united in marriage to Garry McBride. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2020.

Wilma is survived by three sons, Gary Ray (Richard Blair) McBride, Jr. of Philpot, KY,  Scott Douglas (Christine) McBride of Lambertville, MI, and Adam Lynn (Melissa) McBride of Occoquan, VA; three daughters, Kelly Renee (Mark) Newland of Spencerville, OH, Kathryn Elaine (Robert) Wortman of Delphos, and Rachel A. (Todd) Wannemacher of Middle Point, OH; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lou Buschor of Mendon, OH.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Coy, Oris Jr., Monte, R.D., Paul Druckemiller, Lois Tyler, and Juanita “Nita” Ringer; and grandsons, Adam Newland and Aaron McBride. 

Wilma was a homemaker and worked with her husband. She also worked at Vancrest in Delphos, which she really liked. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Wilma enjoyed embroidery, reading Amish books, and attending the ball games of her children and grandchildren. She was ornery and loved talking about her family.

A Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at ­­­­Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hartford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
