Jacki L. Young

Jacki L. Young, 69, of Delphos, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Delphos.She was born April 10, 1947, in Lima to Donald and Nadine (Tritt) Young. Both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her life companion, Doreen Loretta in 2003. She is survived by two sisters, Vicki (Roger) Gossman and Toni (Keith) Miller both of Delphos; and, Susan (Jim) Cooper Traver of Millbury, Ohio, who Jacki considered a sister. She is also survived by Doreen's children, Christy Craig of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lis Craig of Arlington, Texas, and Ralph Patrick "Rap" (Bonnie) Craig of Honolulu, Hawaii. Jacki was a 1965 graduate of Delphos Jefferson; she attended Miami University in Oxford, Northwestern Business College in Lima and enjoyed taking additional classed at The Ohio State University in Lima. She retired from Sara Lee, where she was a sales rep for over 30 years. She had a true love for nature and all of God's creatures. She was spiritual feed through all her time spent at Maria Stein Shrine of the Holy Relics. She and Doreen enjoyed extensive traveling all over the world. She loved to spend her summer days with her family at her sister's pool. A perfect day for Jacki would start with a cup of tea and a newspaper or a good book with her cat on her lap. To honor Jacki's wishes she will be cremated. Her family will celebrate her life with an open house and light luncheon on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 11:00 - 12:00p.m. at the Delphos VFW. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Allen County Humane Society or Deb's Dogs.
